Riks24.no Breaking News Applet
This is a simple RSS alerter, which connects to a news server on the web and shows popups when new articles are uploaded to the web site, it is RSS 2 compatible and it is written with Win32 and WinHTTP, no extra dependencies are needed. The application includes a NSIS installer.
I was hired to do a small RSS reader a while ago, this is for the riks24.no news site in Norway, the project took about 15 days to complete and it is still running and being distributed on their site, the app, by the way, was translated to Norwegian, which i have no idea how to speak, i wrote the application in English and they provided the translated strings.

uPDF
uPDF is a PDF reader based on SumatraPDF, i was hired to do this project about two years ago under another name, i have changed the name to uPDF since then.
This is a basic PDF reader, if you have used SumatraPDF in the past, you know what this app is all about, i have added autoscroll features, and a new set of icons for the toolbar as well as a settings dialog for some useful extra settings than what the original SumatraPDF had.
To enable autoscroll, just press and hold the left or right mouse button to go either down or up in the document, if you move the mouse, the application returns to the standard mode.
You can download the application here, before using this app, remember it is based on an old version of SumatraPDF, there are several bugs that have been fixed on the current release of SumatraPDF, so if you are looking for a PDF reader you will be better with the latest SumatraPDF release, this application has fallen behind in terms of bug fixes and features.
NOTE: I have removed the download link because i can't find the source code and since it is open source software it goes against the license to distribute only the binaries with no source available for distribution.
Virtual Tour Creator
| This application loads a virtual tour made in flash inside the default internet browser on the users computer. The project consits of two components, the Tour Creator, and a client who runs on the user's computer, the Tour creator requests several information and file paths and then creates the virtual tour, which is then recorded into a CD or DVD for distribution to the tour salesmen. The client application is meant to be loaded from a cd, virtual tours are recorded on location and then the files are integrated into special virtual tours with the help of the Virtual Tour Creator, the application creates an installer for the tour so that when the CD is inserted on a computer, the user is able to either open the tour from the CD, or install a copy on the local hard drive, the tour runs on the user's default internet browser. |
